What an incredible time to explore the colonial architecture of Phnom Penh and perhaps venture on to Siem Reap, gateway to the largest temple complex in the world including the legendary Angkor Wat!
CAMBODIA is the place to be and we have some terrific volunteer opportunities to get you there. Here are a few trips to consider:
Care for Orphans: Play a small part in a very large and ongoing mission to help develop this confounding kingdom and provide much needed care and attention to young children on this exciting project. You’ll help to create an educational and fun environment for the local children of Phnom Penh, as well as supporting the childrens’ nutrition and health. By joining this rewarding volunteer project, you will become fully immersed in true Cambodian life. You will help to provide care and education to young disadvantaged children (ages 5 and under) in order to support their nutrition and health while easing their family’s burden. Activities will include general day to day care of the children: washing, preparing food, feeding, organizing fun activities, playing games, singing songs. Takes place in various locations in Phnom Penh and lodging is a shared room in a guesthouse. Call or email us for costs and dates on this trip!!
Community Development: Build schools, offices for teachers, libraries and even install solar electricity to bring light to areas without electricity. In addition to the school building there are opportunities to provide scholarships to deserving students who are vulnerable to dropping out of school due to poverty. This includes an innovative project providing bicycles to students to improve their access to schools that are too far away to walk. During your time in Siem Reap province there is a range of accommodations available from local homestays, inexpensive hotels and up to luxury hotels. To ensure that there is also opportunity to experience the world class attractions of Cambodia we can arrange excursions to Angkor Wat to see ancient Khmer temples. Cambodia also hosts a wide variety of natural and cultural wonders which are easily accessible. Call or email us for costs and dates on this trip!!
Teaching and Temples Tour: This is a combination tour and volunteer project. It will start amongst the colonial architecture of Phnom Penh before heading to Siem Reap, gateway to the largest temple complex in the world including the legendary Angkor Wat on a tour that takes in the best of Cambodia’s stunning landscapes and culture. Then spend 5 days volunteering at a local orphanage by providing general care and assistance in looking after the children. This will involve playing games, teaching English & basic life skills. You will love Cambodia’s people; they are hospitable, humble, and charming. Lodging is a shared room in a guesthouse. Call or email us for costs and dates on this trip!!
